Peuterprogramma Uk & Puk

VVE (pre-school and early childhood education) is a collective term for nationally established methods that stimulate young children’s development through play. The developmentally focused activities offered at our Greatkidzz daycare center, located on Sporadenlaan, are based on the Uk & Puk method. This way, Greatkidzz ensures that the children attending the center are well-prepared for primary school.

The children are cared for and supervised for half a day by VVE-certified childcare professionals. The target group children must
attend the program for at least three half-days of four hours each week, with a maximum of four half-days. Children begin at age two and complete the entire program. They receive intensive supervision.

A key element of implementing an early childhood education program is monitoring children’s progress and actively involving parents, ensuring their development is also fostered at home. Collaboration with schools and partners involved in childcare is also crucial.

Children with a V (preschool) and V (early childhood) and E (education) indication are cared for at the Kangas group from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. They are free during the school holidays. Our toddler groups also follow the VVE program, which is open during the holidays. Half-day stays are only available on Wednesdays and Fridays for the toddler groups.

We work with themes that connect with children’s experiences and daily routines. This stimulates children’s broad development, for example, in language development, but also in skills like waiting your turn, sharing, color recognition, and counting.
